Dr. Folse is Director and Professor of the School of Nursing and holds the Caroline F. Rupert Endowed Chair of Nursing at Illinois Wesleyan University. She is an Advanced Practice Nurse (Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Psychiatric Nursing) with prescriptive authority in the state of Illinois and a
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Dr. Folse has 15 years of full-time eating disorder treatment experience and 10 years of nursing management experience working previously at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.
Her teaching expertise includes psychiatric-mental health nursing and nursing leadership. Dr. Folse has a solid
publication record, an ongoing program of research with vulnerable populations, and lectures nationally and internationally.
