Abstract
Through the recent pandemic, it has become a necessity to understand whether or not students need to be learning synchronously or asynchronously to obtain the proper instruction and attention needed to be successful. This paper jumps into the advantages and disadvantages of each learning method, as well as how educators can design e-learning environments to best meet the needs of our students. We have come to know that every student learns differently, but can we generalize the method of instruction to meet the needs of all students? The instruction of an e-learning classroom has been a much different experience for students and teachers. This pandemic has brought the question, should we be meeting synchronously everyday with students or is it important to allow for them to have asynchronous days to further investigate for themselves?
